THE MINIATURE COLLECTION - BUTTERFLIES
As the starting point for this series, Austrian artist NICOLA HACKL-HASLINGER selected 40-50 year old Austrian butterflies from a scientifically oriented private collection.
Photographs on Hahnemühle Natural Line paper are transformed into unique pieces through applications of 24-karat gold leaf. The precious metal draws the viewer’s gaze, enhancing the butterflies’ visibility and significance, while highlighting the value of nature.
The collection features a wide variety of butterfly motifs, showcasing the diversity and beauty of local wildlife. These miniature works (5 x 5 cm) can be collected and arranged in any configuration.
